ShiZhi benefits in his mother’s deep classical literature training, when he’s a teenage. When he was in the junior middle school, he started writing exercises. Autumn of1968, he wrote the poem:Believe in the Future at the age of20. In the special background of Cultural Revolution Era, Believe in the Future was spread by hand-written and this resulted in versions of its diversity. The ancient and foreign factors in the spirit source of Believe in the Future has close relation with ShiZhi’s early reading experience and it also benefit individual firm faith. Believe in the Future takes individual life experience to complete and present the group’s experience and thoughts. As a kind of spiritual beliefs accepted and spread, It spirit has inspired many people and has a broad impact in the educated youth groups.He has made a brilliant "future" proposition in Believe in the Future, lighting up the uncertain fate. In the chaos, the poet’s soul conveys intellectual voice. The "future" proposition has been continued in The Love of Life. The poet firmly attitude has been highlighted and strengthened in the construction of the "future" proposition. The imagery in Believe in the Future not only inherits traditions of ancient Chinese poetry but also has the distinct personality and this makes it Part close to "Chinese style". The form of Believe in the future is tidiness, displaying the conscious pursuit to poetry form. It has related with Metrical poetry theory of He Qifang. The transmission of Believe in the future has experienced from "underground" to "on the ground" and its essence is also from "latent" to "blooming"."Believe in the Future" is one of the representative poetry of ShiZhi, but it is also a typical text of modern Chinese poetry in the past one hundred years. Believe in the Future is unusual since it first appeared and it’s a silhouette of the poetry’s fate in different times. It reflects Shizhi’s poetic art and at the same time it also gives us a possible to grasp the poetry.
