| Future is one of nuclear questions in the researches of developmental philosophy. Futurology arose in the first half of 20th century. So far, theoretical researches about futurology have been unusually still after it had prevailed in the Occident of the 1970s-1980s. On the contrary, many measures of application, such as forecasts, plans and developmental reports from the organizations of various governments and non- governments, continuously come forth, and it is becoming unending wave. What does lead to theory behind social development? There are many reasons, but major factors lie in future studies to be very hard and to have to shift the way of thought. A fundamental task of future metaphysics is mainly that through the clearing of history and the critique of premise towards futurology, arouses people's theoretical enthusiasm regarding theory of future again, and tries to provide some new fundamental works in new perspective, in order to the theoretical reconstruction of futurology and development of philosophy itself. Due to philosophic attention possesses special superiority, so real futurology depends on it, otherwise the development of discipline of futurology will be influenced.Human future concepts from antiquity to nowadays have three styles of close future view, ideal future view and risk future view.Historically, humankind sensed the existence of future was almost as long as its history of evolution. The ancestry praying heaven and augury in the earlier times is the "prime history" of futurology, while it had enough accumulation of spirit and culture, and the majority of split went on the way of monotheism or reason. The religious eschatology and political Utopia are its typical forms. In the ancient society, human interest towards future possessed deeper intuitional characteristics and the peculiarity of inspiration. The theologians from Middle Ages to nowadays inherited it, so there are three features in the inquiry of future: the property of revelation, teleology and predictive character. The eschatology of modern context has already become one of main problems of religious futurology.Utopia as a political futurology is based on the critique of reality and human nice desire, thus constructed the world of will and faith, moreover insists that present world must be replaced by a new nice world. According to the development of its thought, it can be divided three phases, namely, ancient Utopia, modern utopian socialism and contemporary Utopian philosophy.Marx and Engels have gotten socialism from utopia to science. They waged deep critique of premise regarding social development, revealed the basic law of social development, portrayed the future outlook of social development, expounded the methodology of researching social development, thus they are real originator of theory of social development in futurology.The modern futurology developed by the 20th century approximately formed three large schools: science of forecast, theory of social development, strategy of enterprise.The ancients of China relied on historical sense, and they suggested three typical theories, namely, the theory of historic degradation, historical evolutionism, the theory of historical circulation; they gave the historical theory of the current situation and the method of forecast theory of Zhou Yi in the aspect of holding future method. Futurology studies of contemporary China is later, it began at the earlier time of 1980s, and went through three phases of development, from the introduction of the west futurology, the conscious turn of researches of futurology, to the deep reflection of researches of futurology.
