The Research On Logic Of Belief Revision

Belief revision is a hot topic of current research, how to build a formal dynamic belief revision system which can describe the changes of agent’s faith and belief,and how to use of better technology deal to the problem of belief revision. It is very important significance and value. On the current situation, belief revision made some research, however, there are still many problems of belief revision to be solved at the same time.This paper describes three different research belief revision methods, the analysis about strengths and weaknesses of these method, witch can find common points of various belief revision theory and common deficiencies. Also this paper hope that a rough show about the methods and techniques of modern logic research from apart to a whole through presentation and compare of several methods.The first part:by describing different logical characteristics of cognitive logic of knowledge and belief, emphasizes that concept of belief should be distinguished from the concept of knowledge, the transition from knowledge to belief. This analysis leads to the basic belief system KD45logic as well as AGM theory which makes the research direction and theory basis for belief revision.Part Ⅱ:mainly describing several methods of modern logic of belief revision studies, including faith-based iterative correction method credibility, based on belief revision theory, dynamic epistemic logic of belief revision systems and based on algebraic methods. By analyzing these types of belief revision methods which have some representation, trying to show some kinds of modern logic research techniques and programs of belief revision.Part Ⅲ:This part is the focus of this article, the main content is a detailed description of the three belief revision advantages and disadvantages of each method. This part by comparing the advantages and disadvantages of three methods of analysis in dealing with faith to fix the problem, try to identify each inherent and common problems associated species belief revision methods.Part Ⅳ:This part is the summary of the paper. It combines the analysis of the theory of belief revision and gives some author’s opinions and conclusions.
