Art comes from life and serves life. As a special art form. Film art is an important carrier to reflect real life. Eighter the true, the good, the beauty, or the false, the ugly, the evil of life will get praise or criticism in the movie. With the deepening of the reform and opening up and the establishment of market economy since the new period, the urbanization in China has been progressed faster and faster. China’s social context, urban residents’ life style and aesthetic idea have been changed. Movies have become an important way of leisure and entertainment for the residents. Meanwhile, what the film performed also impact on the audience’s way of life and aesthetic idea. As an indispensable part of life, love is an important composition of film creation. As the result, the development of urban love movies has become a standard which reflects the change of the aesthetic idea for the urban residents since the new period. Because of the non-aesthetics tendency of Hollywood commerical blockbusters. Chinese urban romance movie has been changed in the condition of consumer culture. In this article, there will be a systematic analysis research for the aesthetics characteristics, causes and evolution of Chinese urban romance movie from the version of art aesthetics and film types, which is based on the analysis of the creation path of Chinese urban romance movie.For analyzing the forming of new period Chinese urban love movie, the author will give a summary mainly from three stages, which are:(1) in the1980s. the Chinese film started telling story of "love" which had been banned for a long time. the love story which happened during that time became popular in the film, in this stage."City" is the background for the story to happen;(2) in the1990s. because of the rapid development of urban economy and the promotion of the market, the quantity of urban love movie increased very fast, in order to meet the needs of civilian entertainment, urban love movie formed into public art. and gradually, it had become a type of movie which shows market characteristics, the performance content into daily life, the art style of popularization and localization of the culture characteristics;(3) Since the21st century,"the city" become important performance object in Chinese urban love movie, and there appears variety ways to express love, but material is still in a primary role, and characteristics of postmodern and network features are intertwined.Through the combing of the writing pattern, the new period Chinese urban love film aesthetic characteristics could be summarized as:(1) In the eighty’s. China’s urban original simple love films, mainly presents the "grand narrative", love will become subservient to the political rational aesthetic; ideas break the seal, the realism aesthetic tradition is still the mainstream:scars and reflection, began to return to human nature.(2) In the ninety’s. China’s urban romance movie shows market features, presents the cultural transformation:from elite to popular aesthetic:lost and alienation of modernity to reflect on,grand narrative aesthetic is etc.(3) In the21st century under the background of industrialization and informationization. postmodern and network features are intertwined, and urban romance movie expression in variety ways, but material lever is still in a primary role, urban romance movie presents the prevalence of consumerism, material takes greater position than spirit, emotion become "aesthetic" of consumer goods; urban people were getting anxiety:the impact of visual culture show young and abandon the characteristics of the depth of the senses. By analyzing of the aesthetic characteristics and the causes, we can see since the new period of China, urban romance movie aesthetic evolution trend of material in the unceasing development, the spirit of aesthetic is in compression, and highlights the contemporary aesthetic dilemma of urban people love.Based on the above the aesthetic characteristics of Chinese urban love films, the author analyze causes from two dimensions:(1) the transition of the social context. Including the transformation of social organizations and economic for its role; western aesthetic culture influences film and television of Chinese urban romance movie:with the establishment of market economy, commercial civilization also impact the entire film industry.(2) The transformation of people’s aesthetic style which mainly displays in the urban population change with the humanistic spirit of the aesthetic way of zesthetic loss...
