Based on deep and profound field researches, and profiles and documents, this paper studies the ceremonial music of "Boo" sacrifice of the Mongolians from the angle of ceremonial music of the minorities, exemplified by the sacrificial ceremony "Boo" of Cheluchin of Tuoketuo, Hohhot of Inner Mongolia, and reveals the belief of the sacrificial music of "Boo" through combining its cultural background and the concept of ceremony sounds."Boo" ceremony as the heaven sacrifice of the Mongolians has a long history and can be traced back to the ancient sorcery. Its music runs through the whole ceremony and becomes one with it. After years of changes and development, the music has become the precious cultural legacy of the Mongolians."Boo" ceremony as the heaven sacrifice of the Mongolians abounds in cultural values. This paper describes and analyzes the gowns, musical instruments and priests of the "Boo" sacrifice of Cheluchin, and probes into the ceremony itself and the procedure of curing diseases and driving away evil spirits, with the purposes of discussing the interrelationship between ceremonial music of "Boo" sacrifice of the Mongolians and other kinds of music, and seeking its cultural concepts.
