With the rapid development of the society and the deep penetration of networktechnology, great changes have taken place for language as a form of social development. Theinternet has been one of the greatest remarkable inventions created by human beings in the20thcentury. It has exerted great influence in various aspects of our daily life. It brings peoplenot only an unprecedented technology revolution, but a linguistic and culture revolution.Under such premise, internet language is a new kind of linguistic form which emerges alongwith the development of internet. Internet language has been an attractive research field inmodern linguistics. When network is transmitting all kinds of information to human beings, new cyber-neologisms are affecting people’s expression of daily English. A large number ofnew cyber-neologisms and phrases, which are different from conventional English, areformed and become so popular in the cyber world. The research of cyber-neologism isinevitable requirements in the Internet Era, and because the number of research is limited, itis a brand new research field. Also the research lacks real academic researchers to studyin-depth. The depth of research is not sufficient, that is to say, the research is still in the infantstage in theory. At present there is a little dissertation to be studied more. From almost all thetitles of the articles, most of the articles analyze it from the aspects of semiotics and cognitivepsychology, while others study it from the relationship of cyberspace, cyber language andChinese characters application. In fact, no one uses these theories to analyze thecyber-neologism and no one has a comprehensive analysis on the cyber-neologism from theaspects of linguistics adaptation.Out of curiosity and interest for the network, this paper will analyze the cyber-neologismfrom the aspect of linguistic adaptation in order to build bridges to learn English vocabularyand will show how to use the network words correctly in the future. This research can enablepeople to know more about cyber-neologisms, and also help people fully understand the phenomena of linguistics. At the same time, the research is beneficial to help peoplecommunicate on Internet. What’s more, there isn’t any foreign language dictionary related tocyber-neologism in our country. Therefore, the translation of these new words is stillfragmented, inaccurate, and multifarious. This caused that the translation of the newvocabulary has become the priority of the translator. Understanding the characteristics of theformation of cyber-neologisms and translation skills are very important, since it can fuseEuropean language and other languages all over the world, accept different vocabularies fromother countries. Translation has indispensably status on promoting cultural communication.Whether translation is appropriate or not directly affects cultural comprehension andacceptance.
