MTI curriculum design is of vital importance for the development of MTI education as well as the training quality of graduates. There has been some research on MTI curriculum design in recent years. However, little has been done on MTI curriculum design in universities in Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia. In order to fill the research gap, the author conducted a survey on MTI curriculum design of seven representative universities in the two provinces and one autonomous region. The survey was conducted through a questionnaire, taking second-year graduates of these MTI training units as research subjects. It covered three aspects: the graduates’ academic background, the satisfaction degree concerning the current MTI curriculum design and that concerning MTI teachers. Based on the data got from the survey, this report analyzes advantages and disadvantages of MTI curriculum design in these universities and offers some suggestions on MTI curriculum design: clarifying training objectives, improving curriculum structure, strengthening teaching staff, being oriented to market demands, in the hope that the research is able to provide effective suggestions on the development of MTI curriculum system and MTI teaching staff.
