As the demand for learning Chinese language by foreigners grows,more and more people are trying to become Chinese teachers.In order to encourage students to study Teaching Chinese to foreigners as a second language Master degree in China,The Confucius Institute Headquarters(HanBan)established the "Foreign Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship" and "Chinese Government Scholarship(csc)".Every year,foreign students from all over the world come to China to study Teaching Chinese to Foreigners as a Second Language Master Degree.In order to foster more qualified Chinese language foreign teachers,the Chinese Committee for Teaching Chinese to Foreigners Master Degree announced in 2017 the'Guiding Plan for Teaching Chinese to Foreigners as a Second Language Master Degree for International Students'.All colleges and universities design their courses according to this plan.The main focus of this study is to improve the results of fostering foreign postgraduate students.For this,it is necessary to study their perception of the program and their satisfaction with it.This thesis analyzes the foreign students*comprehension and satisfaction of this Major program,using a questionnaire and interview format of the students'point of views.With this,it finds out problems of the current courses and give recommendations.The chapter 1 describes the research background,and through literature references,understands research on foreign language Master degree programs overseas,research on teaching Chinese Master degree program in China and abroad,and research on the program satisfaction.At present,there are few studies about the construction of international education postgraduate programs in Chinese language.The chapter 2 describes the construction of the Teaching Chinese to Foreigners as a Second Language Master Degree program.First,it introduces a guiding plan of the program and compares the curriculum offered in three Chinese universities.Next,it introduces a quantitative and qualitative research plan on the comprehension and satisfaction of the Teaching Chinese to Foreigners as a Second Language Master Degree program.It also introduces the structure and content of the questionnaire,the outline of the interview and the research target group.The chapter 3 statistically analyzes the comprehension and satisfaction of this Major course.The curriculum comprehension is divided into five parts:Curriculum objectives,curriculum structure,curriculum content,curriculum implementation and curriculum management.There is a high level of comprehension of the curriculum objectives by the Master degree students.Although they are satisfied with the curriculum structure order,they believe the curriculum lacks practical implementation,and it needs to be enriched.There are several complains and suggestions about the curriculum specific contents.Students are relatively satisfied with the curriculum implementation,which is reflected in the teachers' attitude and class method.There are complains and suggestions regarding the curriculum management,which were mainly focused on the attendance to other classes for observation,simulation classes and teaching internship.Secondly,it analyzes the satisfaction of the general program.It also analyzes the correlation between the program comprehension and satisfaction,and between the support during the program and the program satisfaction.It is found that the way professors teach,their attitude,the school guidance and concern to students are important factors.Finally,it analyzes the correlation between personal factors and the program comprehension and satisfaction,such as gender,undergraduate study location.undergraduate major differences,learning motivation,etc.Chapter 4 points out the main findings of this study and propose suggestions.Chapter 5 points out the contributions and deficiencies of this study.
