The Novel Creation Of Female Writers In Ningxia Since The New Century

The literature in Ningxia has won a space in the literal territory in China for its outstanding regional as well as national characteristics. The thrive of female writers in Ningxia has injected a breath of fresh blood for the literature development in Ningxia Hui autonomous region. They play an important role in Ningxia literature. As a different kind of "literature landscape", the female writers’ creations in Ningxia overall present features of richness and complexity. However, among these literal creation, the creation of novels are much more representative than other kinds of style. Since the new century, the female writers’novels in Ningxia are relatively impressive both in quantity and quality. Their works diversify in theme and artistic techniques of expression, which make their novels more stereo and vivid.Compared with the female writers in China, the female writer’s writing style in Ningxia show unique artistic features. Influenced by ethnic identity and regional characteristics, they present a more "conservative" and "restraint" character. Based on the novel creation of female wriers since the new century in Ningxia, this thesis classifies and interprets the representative novels of them through close reading of the text from two aspects of theme and artistic features. Through the analysis of the theme of female writers in Ningxia, it demonstrates that the female writers’thinking of life and fate focus on two dimensions of history and reality. During the pursuit and rethink of the history, they express the feelings of ethnics and explore the nature of existance and humanity in city and rural areas. Through the analysis of the artistic characteristics, this paper interprets the female writers’ depict of the vivid characters, construction of the rich images and bright language in their novels, which bring new perspective for the female writers’ literature creation in Ningxia.
