Redesinn Of Chinese Traditional Cartoon Image "Man"

In today’s society, cartoon image can be seen everywhere, so the design ofcartoon image has become the carrier of culture which can convey the designer’s ideato the audience. The generating of cartoon image not only represents the change ofvalue brought by cultural environment development, but also communicates withreceivers directly as a cultural carrier. Relying on its unique shape and the embeddedculture, cartoon image make the audience focus on its image and product itselfunconsciously. Chinese traditional cartoon image is a kind of cultural symbols whichrepresent national characteristics and regional culture, on one hand, it inherited thematerial and spiritual change historically which is an effective ways of knowing ourown national history and civilization. On the other hand, incorporating the traditionalroles into the contemporary design promote the development of animation industry.First of all, this article mainly discuss from the “shaping” and "application" oftraditional roles in China. Taking the construction of “nian” beast as the starting point,this article discusses how to effectively combine the mythical characters with cartoonimage, the fusion of the nationality and modernity is the key problem in therealization of the design effect. Secondly, through the image of the beast to design andmarket operation of animation industry background, combined with product andanimation display cartoon image in value, but in practice show that the traditionalculture and the modern art is feasible.
