Huizhou was a famous place where its Confucianism-was strong, its education was prosperous and its culture was developed during Ming and Qing dynasties, Generations of Huizhou people spent their time in-farming and studying there. Scholars realized their values by different ways, such as taking part in the imperial examinations, doing business outside, quitting job for medicine and so on. There were many famous doctors in Huizhou during that time, and an important genre of Chinese medical history Xin’an medicine science was formed there. In the Xin’an medicine science, there were many eminent doctors and theoretical literatures. Among of them, supplementing primordial qi school played an extremely significant role. WANG Ji was the founder and an outstanding representative of Xin’an medicine, and also the founder of the school of consolidating vital base and supplementing primordial qi. This paper intends to study WANG Ji and his writings.This article mainly does philology researches into WANG Ji and his writings through four parts:The first part mainly study WANG Ji’s growing environment the natural environment and social environment of Huizhou, analyze the social factors which supported the Xin’an medicine to develop in that natural environment, and even seek the relationships between the development of Xin’an medicine and Huizhou society.The second part is mainly to analyze the lifetime of WANG Ji. In this part, we carry the research into the life activities of WANG Ji and important disaster relief activities by exploring WANG Ji’s clan relationships according to documentary records. In addition, basing on anglicizing objective external environment of WNG Ji and the integration of WANG Ji’s psychology, we probe the reasons of WANG Ji’ s abandoning the Confucian and being involved in medicine, meanwhile, we reveal his inner conflict reflected in making this choice.The third part is mainly to investigate WANG Ji’s writings. By-researching WANG Ji’s medical and non medical works, we make the textual research about the detail of his-works, such as volumes, versions and-circulation. At the same time, we reveal the social appearance of that time reflected in Stone Mountain medical case histories and study its values.The fourth part is mainly to do a research about the followers who are were admitted and taught by WANG Ji. As the founder of Xin’an medicine science, WANG Ji recruited a large number of disciples as-inheritors of his medical technologies and theories. This part makes a simple introduction and discussing about Wang Ji’s medical academic thought Consolidating vital base and supplementing primordial.
