Error Analysis Of Aspect Particle "Le" And "Guo" For The English Students And Teaching Suggestions

The aspect particle has always been the hot spot of the Chinese grammaticalcircle，the important part of foreign Chinese teaching and the difficult grammar forEnglish students. What is more，compared with other aspect particles，“le”and“guo”have common usage，which caused error easily，so how to apply the study of “le”and“guo” to the English stuednts’ Chinese teaching effectively is a matter ofworthing exploring．According to the former research achievements of“le”，“guo”themselevs andChinese as L2acquisition，this dissertation analyses the data of English students’errors about “le”，“guo” learning and gives some suggestions about teaching. Thedata based on HSK dynamic composition corpus and Jinan university overseasstudents written language corpus. There are five sections in this dissertaion. The firstsection illustrates significance of the subject，research scope and corpus sources. Thesecond section summarizes and comment on current research situation of the aspectparticle “le”and “guo”themselves and Chinese as L2acquisition. The third sectioncalculates，inducts and analyses the linguistic dat. Statistics shows that the rate ofEnglish students’ errors of “le”，“guo”is much higher，15.31%and14.85%respectively. We classify the errors into types such as overuse，omission，misorderingand so on.The rates of omission and overuse are more higher than others.We canknow from the angle of the chinese-english contrast that the most importantinfluence is negative transfer of mother tongue. Simultaneously，to some extent，negative transfer of the target language，the complex usage of “le”and“guo”，thedeficiency of chinese grammar research，teaching materials and teachers are thefactors for English students to master the grammar rules. The forth section gives some specific suggestions of teaching from teaching materials and classroomteaching. The conclusion is in the last section.
