The Study Of Corresponding Chinese Characters’Developing Trends In The Respects Of Gu Jin Zi

This paper presents the developmental tendency of Chinese character through its evolution. As for its tendency, it can be interpreted from two perspectives, one is from the evolution of Chinese character’s form, and the other is from the change of Chinese character’component, and then summarize the reasons why the form of Chinese character changes, and it is hoped that one will form a diachronic and overall understanding of Chinese character’form. This paper can be divided into six parts as follows:The first part is an introduction. Firstly, it briefly introduces the history of researches on Chinese character development. Secondly, it presents the anticipative goal and specific method of this paper, lastly, it makes a detailed introduction about five source corpus on Chinese character’ development.The second part is about some relevant definitions and research methodology. First, it defines some relevant professional terms, and then illustrates the operation of historical comparative Chinese character in detail, which will makes an adequate preparation for a further research.The third part is about the investigation of the evolution of Chinese character’s form. As regard to this problem, it can be understood in two steps. First, it can analyze the form changing of Chinese character in adjacent epoch from the following three angles:the heritage of the form of Chinese character, addition or omission of its component, ways of changing. And then making a summary about the panorama of the form changing of Chinese character.The fourth part is about investigation on the evolutional tendency of Chinese character’ form. When analyzing the form changing of Chinese character from its component perspective, It takes a similar method as the third part. It firstly analyzes the component changing in five adjacent epochs, and then describes a whole picture of the component changing of Chinese character.The fifth part is about the reason of the form of Chinese character. It summarizes some specific factors which affect the form changing of Chinese character,in order to form a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese character development.The six parts is a conclusion. It not only makes a whole summary of this research, but also presents some shortcomings which still need efforts.
