Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the red film and television based on the revolutionary war has been active on the screen. The red film and television has always been praised by Chinese film and television industry. Alone with the red film and television been praised and the market economy been stimulated, Hunan Xiaoxiang film group, as one of the seven major film and television groups, gives full play to the regional cultural advantage, to create a large number of outstanding revolutionary theme film and television works, which makes Hunan Xiaoxiang film group get high honors in Chinese film and television industry.
