Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964) was one of the most influential painters in the20th century. He drifted away at the edge of painting with an independent art form standing in the art history. His artistic achievements and the arts attitude is admired by future generations. Morandi’s artistic achievements were mainly in still lifes, landscapes,and prints. The aims of this research were to analyze the form of painting still lifes of Morandi and his own attitude toward art, and to present the influence on my creative landscape by Morandi in the specific screen, combined with my own creative practice. This research was divided into three parts. The first part analyzed the frame structure of Morandi’s still life paintings, and discussed his ability to control color screen in detail. The structural analysis of the performance of the picture showed in the theme selection, layout, and handling physical structure of the screen. For the controlling ability to color it showed in terms of subjective treatment, the grasps of tone and gradation, and the coordinating relations between colors.The second part presented the application of Morandi’s concept of painting in the author’s painting creation. Although Morandi’s frame types were much more than those ones, only the types which were useful for the author’s painting creation was selected and analyzed..
