Italian design gradually occupy an important status in worldwide design area after the second war showing by a lot of excellent designs and famous designers. Even their industrial evolution start later then England and America, but grow fast during1950s. Lots of design exhibitions are held here that makes Italian design equaled "high quality" and "full of emotion" such as:Aless、Colombini、 Kartell etc.Emotional design is a significant process in Italian design approach and nowadays become a popular way of design. Emotion affects our choice different, design crates those difference. Human’s brain can do complicated activities which divide into three levels:"Visceral, Behavioral and Reflective. Those levels affect each others and the top level can control upon one:the reflective level---special and unique level of human being, works different by individual’s education, personal experience, culture and so on. So for this project, I need to understand residents themselves and their lives, attitude, culture and etc. Italian spread their mood through their designs that is why their design full of emotion. They know how to enjoy lives and work which means they can balance their life and amusement, so this makes work become part of their life. Other reason for this Italian design feature is their traditional aesthetic education.After learn more about Italian design and the method, I figure out that their emotional design is not only crating by designer’s mood or something suddenly happened. The process include logos and sensibility. The purpose of this project is to analysis Italian design and its process, and how designer put emotional elements into their design. The finial result should help people to know more about Italian design and to find the way of Chinese modern design based on Chinese background.
