In Chinese contemporary literature history, Lin Bai is classified as one of the "feministwriters". In the1980s and1990s, her early works indeed takes the private experience ofwomen as the main object of description. In Lin Bai’searly creations, she concentrated on how to reveal the individual excellence of female in lieuof making rebellion of mainstream discourse. She built an overlapping world emphasizing thestatus of female, and used the poetic speech to maintain the beauty, sorrow and dignity offemale. In the closed private room, the personal sentiments and confusion concealed in herworks were disclosed. In2000, Lin Bai’s creation came into the transformation stage.
