The Opera The Red Guards on Honghu Lake is the classic in nowadays’music circle, and also a national opera with the lasting art charm in the opera stage. Han Ying is the most important character in this opera. As a representative work in the Chinese national opera, The Red Guards on Honghu Lake plays an extremely important role in the history of Chinese opera development. If the opera White Haired Girl is regarded to raise the first high tide of the Chinese opera, the success of The Red Guards on Honghu Lake has pushed the secondary high tide of the development to the peak for the first time, and provided valuable experience for our future opera creation.This paper makes in-depth research mainly on the character analysis of "Han Ying" and main arias in The Red Guards on Honghu Lake. Chapter1is mainly about the overview of this opera. It makes analysis from the creation background and plot of the work, and states that the emerging of the new artistic form has its historic significance. Chapter2is make comprehensive analysis on the character of "Han Ying". This chapter is divided into two sections. Section1is to introduce the original of the character Han Ying. Section2is to analyze the art image of Han Ying from the aspects of "drama" and "music". Chapter3is an important chapter of this paper. It deeply analyzes the singing processing from the tone, volume, breath and also the main arias of Han Ying, such as View on Liberation of All Hardworking Laborers, No Tear and no Sorrow, and A Lake So Blessed. The final chapter is about the conclusions. It concludes the image shaping of Han Ying and the related analysis of the singing according to the professing experience accumulation and inspiration.
