Sericulture myths and rituals are the important carrier of traditional culture in our country. This study find out the different types of Sericulture myths and how their stories development and the procedures of rituals, by analyzing them, explore the profound connotation behind them, find out the reasons of the Sericulture myth spreads’, and the contents that implied behind rituals, from the perspective of communication studies to analyze its organizational communication function in traditional agricultural society.This research mainly divided into four parts, the basic contents are as follows:The first part is the Introduction. It mainly elaborates this research origin, research status, research methods, theoretical basis, the point of innovation, and proposed to solve the key problems.The second part mainly classifies Sericulture myths. The Sericulture myths are divided into five types:the Horsehead lady, Wanyu furen and yushi princess, Leizu, Qingyishen and other gods,; Mulberry myth is mainly divided into four types:Kongsang, Fusang, Dinvsang and Sansang. Tease out their earliest time and their relevant context.The third part mainly analyzes the connotation of Rituals. The requirements of rituals, including the use of the phenomena, reed and standing orientation and dress From the view point of etiquette system, find out its profound meaning, using the theory of symbolic, analyze its organizational function under the one-way communication pattern.The fourth part analyzes of the regional spread and history tendency Sericulture myths. Discuss causes of Theological respectively from the dynasty roles and selective mechanism of the main body.The fifth part is mainly analysis the organizational function of Sericulture myths and rituals. Through the analysis of silkworm myth and rituals, discuss their function of constructing of social rules, inheriting culture, and promote the role of the human civilized ways.
