Since Tolman proposed the theory of cognitive map, Many researchers began to focus on the spatial representation of animal and human issues. Study of children’s spatial re-orientation ability origin in animal’s space orientation capabilities. Study on spatial re-orientation ability is a paradigm for study the brain’s space representation, The existing of children’s spatial re-orientation ability study, most of the attention has focused on children in the spatial re-orientation is how to use the geometry information or non geometry information; But few study explore the way of using geometric information, the clues is composed in specific space can be used to spatial re-orientation tasks. The hypothesis of this study:clue-target of direct relevance/indirect association is a key factor impacts the children’s re-orientation results. In this study,3,4,5years old children as the objects of study, Selected Chong Qing Jiu long po kindergarten, total of72and without color blindness (removed five children that can’t finished the experimental tasks); Each age group for each24children, evenly divided between men and women. The experimental design including three3*4experiments of all, Each participant completed all of the experimental conditions:The first factor is the test of age3years old,4years old,5years old; second factor is the clue-target directly or indirectly association, the geometric cues (here refers to the edge, angle), non geometric cues (here refers to the color) and target association; inspection graphs order is square, rectangular and isosceles trapezoidal; The dependent variable is the number of children spatial re-orientation results, And the types of errors. The following conclusion through experiment:1、Clue-target directly associated space re-orientation’s performance than Clue-target indirectly associated’s higher.2、3years old,4years old and5-year-olds in the operation of space re-orientation ’s results were significantly differen in square and rectangular, but no significant difference in the graphics isosceles trapezoid.3、3years old,4years old and5year old children in the space re-orientation tasking results has no gender differences.4、square, rectangle and an isosceles trapezoid itself has no directly effect on the results of spatial re-orientation.
