On the basis of the nature of the text and difficulties met in translation, the author decides to analyze the text from the perspective of context. To explore the equivalent meanings of difficult words, the author adopts the principle of "Equivalence of Linguistic Context", which means to select the most exact meanings of words by the help of contextualization cues. However, when using context to solve linguistic problems, translators have to resort to their cognitive context for help. In addition, linguistic context only helps to predict the general meanings of some terms but can not give their exact translations. These are the very limitations of context. The author analyzes the academic text with the help of context in order to address the linguistic difficulties met in translation, recognize the limitations in comprehension, expression and improve the author’s ability in application of this method.
