Manufacturing Process Of Anhui Province Huaihe Willow And Related Problem Research

Huaihe River basin of Anhui province is fertile of osier since ancient times, whichoffers local residents enough resources to produce living appliance and Productionequipment. In this area,where willow fabrication has a long history, artists appear inlarge numbers and their unique production are full of folk culture. In2008, Huanggangwillow(Funan County), and Huoqiu willow are listed in the second Anhui provincialintangible cultural heritage (serial number: VIII-26, name: Huaihe Willow crafts). In2010,the Ministry of culture authorized the incorporation of HuangGang willow(FunanCounty)and Huoqiu willow as "national intangible cultural heritage"(serial number:VII-55).With the development of science and technology, the changes of the social environmentand the advance of globalization and marketization, willow industry in Huaihe area hasbeen in rapid development, which has brought enormous changes to the local people’sdaily life----economic income increasing obviously, life habits changingdramatically,and the traditional willow production gradually developing into a modernwillow industry. Subsequently, the traditional Huaihe Willow Arts living space reducedand part of the essence of traditional willow technology disappeared.It seems thetraditional transmission is difficult to adapt to the fast changing communicationenvironment. How to inherit the traditional Huaihe willow craft art, how to blend themodern elements and traditional craft into the perfect combination, and how to keepHuaihe willow craft art healthy develop and produce better art space, which questions Ithink are very necessary for us to think about.This paper takes the representatives of Huaihe willow basin of Anhui province--Huoqiu willow, Funan willow as the breakthrough point, and uses fieldwork researchmethod,document research method and statistical analysis method to study the historyof its development, production process,fabricating techniques, transmission mode and present managing scale and development mode.Through historical data, from theperspective of economics, it finds that huge economic interests to the local people is thereason to the rapid development of Huaihe willow technology; Through contrastingmodern and traditional willow technology, from the angle of the history of science andtechnology,it finds that development of science and technology is the great thrustpower to promote technology reform.This paper also searches the influence of thestructural reform of the country on Huaihe willow industry management mode and triesto find the most suitable management mode of Huaihe willow development.Besides,itexplores the related problems about the present whole development of willowtechnology and the heritage of the traditional willow craft. This paper digs thecontemporary value of Huaihe willow and analyzes the economic value, cultural value,ecological value and social value of Huaihe willow, in order to improve the protectionof traditional arts and crafts of Huaihe willow.
