East Asia after the Cold War strategic change is to constantly make adjustments for regional and international situation changes, and its essence is still to strengthen and maintain the dominant position of the United States in the region and strategic influence. The United States realized that affected the expansion trend has emerged that could challenge its hegemony in the region, as its East Asian strategy targeted and an important part of the offensive, attitude toward the United States play an active role "offshore balancer" role, a serious impact on China’s national interests. This study is based on this background, from the four parts of the U.S. strategy in East Asia after the Cold War and China’s response to the discourse:first, in chronological order, reviewed the evolution from the Cold War to the U.S. strategy in East Asia after the Cold War, analyze its adjustments and changes, because the United States itself, the strength of the change and the change of the external international environment; then expounded the main content of the post-Cold War U.S. strategy in East Asia by the military presence, consisting of bilateral alliances and multilateral diplomacy, to come to its strategic aims in the contain China’s development and to safeguard U.S. interests in real terms, its reality and the future impact is adverse and profound; Finally, China needs to deal with in many ways, on the internal political maintaining domestic stability, foreign deepen mutual political trust on advancing economic opening up, expand common interests, to promote interdependence, internal military to strengthen the army construction, foreign military conflict reduction, maintaining the current good surrounding environment, culture, carry forward the traditional culture, and strive to enhance the "soft power", Foreign insist on independence, and establish a responsible big country.
