The Improvement Of The People’s Jury System In China

The jury system is an important judicial system of our country, is an importantmanifestation of judicial democracy. There are some clearly regulations about the people’s jurysystem in our law; however, due to the practical effect of national conditions and constraints ofthe system, the people’s assessor cannot effectively participate in the trial, the system in ourcountry is not ideal, there are still many problems. In order to improve the efficiency of thepeople’s jury system, realize the value of the jury trial system and function, the paper has carriedon deep research to this system. First of all, the article reviews the development and presentsituation of the people’s jury system; introduce the historical evolution in our country, then, makeuse of the method of large amounts of data, to explore structured analysis of the situation of thejury system in the practice run from both the national and local courts. Secondly, through theanalysis of the jury system running the status quo summarized the problems of the jury systemand the reasons behind these problems in-depth discussion. Finally, the concrete measures onhow to improve the jury system, including legislation to improve the people’s jury system, andimprove the people’s jury system design and pilot implementation of the three aspects of thelimited jury system.
