The Research Of Learning Movement Of Mao Zedong’s Works (1950—1965)

In all the writings of Mao Zedong,it is undoubtedly that "Selected Works of Mao Zedong"which has the most important component and the highest value is the most comprehensive overview and a concrete manifestation of the writings of Mao Zedong Thought.Therefore, the publication of the "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" has been an important task of the Party.Early before the founding of the People’s Republic of China several versions of "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" has emerged which provided good materials to improve the theoretical level of the whole party.However,due to the restricted war environment and unreviewed personally by Mao Zedong,the overall quality of these various versions of editing with uneven levels need to be improved.Considering to make up for the regret,coupled with the advice and support of the Soviet Union in the early days of the foundation,Mao Zedong began to personally edited and published "Selected Works of Mao Zedong".As the author and chief editor of the first edition "Selected Works of Mao Zedong" in the early days of foundation, Mao Zedong devoted a great deal of effort in selecting the table of contents, writing and revising the notes and comments and modifying a number of articles,etc.Thanks to Mao Zedong’s pursuit of excellence, the publication of the first edition in the early days of foundation was warmly welcomed by the people of the whole country, even the people of the world.It set off a climax of learning the writings of Mao Zedong.Mao Zedong learning movement from1950to1965roughly divided into three periods:studying Mao Zedong’s Philosophy Thought as a starting point of Mao Zedong writings’ learning movement in the early days;works of Mao Zedong study movement in the late1950s early1960s;"Flexible learning and application the works of Mao Zedong "movement" before the "Cultural Revolution".The1950-1965Mao Zedong learning movement which involved participants in a wide range had diverse learning content and learning styles.Some activists learning Mao Zedong emerged in the learning movement during which also many learning methods with universality and guidance were summed up.Overall, from1950to1965, Mao Zedong learning movement is healthy, active, and fruitful.The learning movement in this period focused on learning the spiritual essence of Mao Zedong Thought,and focused on applying Mao Zedong Thought to the specific environment to work creatively.This period of Mao Zedong learning movement played an important role in the education and guidance of the National People’s political reform and social transformation,in overcoming the temporary difficulties faced by the party and state,in forging ahead on the road of exploring the socialist construction which is suitable for China.Of course, it should be noted that in the period of learning movement there is a tendency to engage in formalism and transaction dogmatic Leninism, and make Mao Zedong Thought sacred and vulgar.
