While the first-generation Japanese American rooted in the beginning of20years, the social Anti-Japanese sentiment is in high spirit in United States. Especially in1924, the United States Senate passed "the Immigration Act of1924", the Japanese were discriminated by whites in every corner of the society.During World War Ⅱ, the United States government suspected Japanese with "treason suspects", then they were forced into the Midwest states concentration camp from1942to the end of the war, and the years of life in the concentration camps become the disastrous experience of their own.Because of long time being undergone discrimination and interpretation by the humane society of the United States, the Japanese were not only excluded and imprisoned, but also were always unable to obtain citizenship especially for the first generation Japanese, and this become barriers to the process of that Japanese integrated into American society. Therefore, the harsh environment prompted the formation of the Japanese Awareness of political participation. Since nearly half century, the America Japanese made a spurt of progress in economic, education and other fields, which upgrade their social status constantly. Cultural psychology of the Japanese political participation there can not be ignored. After all, Japanese from the first generation to the third generation in the United States experienced the changes from the stick to traditional Japanese culture to integrate into the accepted American culture. The first generation of Japanese political was apathy and unfamiliar to the politics, but the second and third generation was gradually awakening up to positive. It demonstrated the subjective effects that the cultural psychological changes act on the political participation. The second part is the research of the core content of the Japanese Americans’ political participation, which occurred in a variety of ways and had a strong practical significance. Japanese political participation mode is mainly divided into the formation of associations to protect their own political, economic rights and voting campaign. The Integral Consciousness of Japanese-Americans originated from Japan cultural awareness, and lay stress on building societies to safeguard the livelihoods and development, and to safeguard the political interests of the Japanese through associations. In a word, Japanese economic development and the promotion of the level of education are inseparable from the associational effects. In addition, the Native American Born ratio of the Japanese is high, so that new generation absorbed the United States culture better than other Asian groups. they were assimilated by the community and proficient in English, then the quantity of obtaining the civil rights is higher than other Asian ethnic group, which enable it to participate in voting and registration. Therefore, through the Japanese voting campaign we can find its political participation activities of the overall situation ardently. The third part mainly compared the political participation between the Japanese American and other minority ethnic, which extracted Chinese, black and Jewish as a reference. we expounded and analyzed the distinction of political participation in the population, culture, voter registration rate between Japanese and Chinese. Meanwhile, we compared the cultural influences and government elected number with the black, and from the point of view of economic strength and social mobilization difference with the Jews. Through the comparative analysis and other ethnic groups, we can see the advantage and defect during the course of the Japanese political participation, and then we could get a better understanding of Japanese political participation, also provides a lot of valuable reference for the future of Japanese Politics. The fourth part reviews the history of Japanese Americans political participation.
