The development of market economy has taken a great effect to people’s work, study,life style and values, also it adds chracteristic features to the ideological and politicaleducation for teenagers on perception, content and methods, however, it put forward newchallenge. The core of market economy is openess, competitiveness and creativeness, itrequires people to be open-minded, dare to innovate, compete well, and brave to be thefirst. Such ideology complies with the request of the development of age, and is necessaryfor the contribution of socialist modernization country. Yet, there exists profit-driven,spontaneity, speculativeness and blindness in market economy, it have a negative impacton people’s perceptions, such as money worship, speculative instinct, lacking of honestmorality, neglect concern to social responsibility and the others. If not give a gudiance tothese passive perceptions, it will influence the youngesters’ well-development both in mindand body; this is not good for healthy development of social economy. Under such abackground, it appears particularly enssential to study the effectiveness of ideological andpolitical education to teenagers.This paper has a basic theoretical analysis to market economy and its features,teenagers ideological and political education and its characteristic, and the positive andnegative affectiveness from market economy to youngsters ideological and politicaleducation, through the way of questionaire survey in Wuhan city, combining with thecurrent related research results and the practical situation of teenagers ideological andpolitical education, firstly analysis the common feature of teenagers ideological andpolitical performance, including the healthy side and the passive side. Starting from thetheoretical premises of the close relationship between teenagers ideological and politicalactual performance and teenagers ideological and political education, investigate andanalyze the effectiveness of teenagers ideological and political education and thepersonal estimate to ideological and political education of teenagers, then discover that thecurrent perception aim of teenagers ideological and political education is single-faceted,the concept is tend to negative and tortuosity; the content of ideological and politicaleducation has problems like education content be disjointed the social development andself desire of the educated, the content is not conform to market economy, and so on; theway of ideological and political education is too dogmatic, and think little of visualizeteaching methods, it is staleness and dull that neglect the subjectivity of the educated. On the basis of the above theoretical and empirical analysis, this paper holds that, in themarket economy, it is more essential to enhance teenager’s ideological and politicalconsciousness and strengthen teenager’s ideological and political education. Becauseideological and political education has function of directing, guiding, coordinating andsteadying to the development of market economy, it’ll also help to promote the civilizationconstruction of the whole soceity and cultivate professional talents for the needs of marketeconomy development. Of course, to teenagers ideological and political education, weshould not be lockstep, but pay attention to the innovation on concept, content and methodsof teenagers ideological and political education, stick to people-oriented on conceptinnovation, intensify the cultivation of subjectivity of teenagers; the innovation of contentshould highlight the demands of the age of market economy, emphasize on integrityeducation, reinforce to develop personal power view and proper competition concept. Onmethod innovation, it should focus on actual effect, and improve youngsters’ ability forself-education.
