With the Rockefeller Foundation and the U. S. government’s support, the Green Revolution was rapidly put into practice in the Philippines to promote its agricultural technology and eliminate its food crisis since1960s. The Philippine Green Revolution was not merely the simple technical renovation in the agricultural field, but also an important means by which the U. S. carried out its new diplomatic strategy. To some extent, it reflected that the Rockefeller Foundation’s activities in the Philippines were consistent with the U. S. foreign policies during the Cold War. |
