According to the Constitution, Constitutionalism is a political means to rule the country. It plays an important role in controlling the society.Constitutionalism was originated from western society, afterwards it dispersed to all over the world, showing different forms based on different cultural backgrounds and political customs. Singapore has its own Constitutional institution according to the fundamental realities of the country. Due to the success of Singapore constitutionalism, the world witnesses Singapore is enjoying a society of economical prosperity, social stability and order nowadays.The purpose of this dissertation is tring to reason of scccessful experience in constitutionalism by elaborating the elements and characteristics in forming the constitutionlism in the progress of Singapore.The conclusion is the constitutionalism limit takes effect on ensuing the restriction of national powers and the protection of institution in guarding the constitutionalism.This mode works well in Singapore, but it raises the question of whether it can be used for China or not.In here I hope the experience of constitutionalism in Singapore could be learned by China based on our own problems and background.The dissertation consists of three chapters:Chapter one is in introduction of the gradual progress of Singapore constitutionalism, analyzing the history of Singapora constitutionalism and the background of generating constitutionalism.Chapter two is emphasis on the basic elements and characteristics in Singapore constitutionalism, by analyzing the reasons of developing the constitutionalism.Chapter three is on the lessons which China can learn from Singapore. Not only it sums up the experience of constitutionalism in Singapore, but also it brings forward the blueprint to constitutionalism in China based on the national condition.
