| Accumulated during the long-term revolution under the leadership of CommunistParty of China(CPC), red resources are the most precious material in ideological andpolitical education.In the last decade, it has become a hot topic that red resources are studied under theframework of Ideological and Political Education (IPE). This new trend not onlywidened but also enlivened the research of IPE. The research focus of the new trend liesin how to make the combination of red resources and IPE more effective and how tomake red resources more educative. However, after analyzing the current researchresults, I found we are still at a beginning stage concerning the study of the educativefunctions of red resources in IPE. There is currently no specific study of it, let alonehighly theoretical and systematical research result. More importantly, there is muchmore applied than theoretical research upon it. Therefore, the current situation andexisting problems of educative functions of red resources in IPE become the theoreticalfulcrum and logical starting point of this research.Combining relevant applied research, this paper argues from theoretical viewpoint.Firstly, it deals with the scientific connotation of red resources. Later, it examines therelationship between red resources and IPE. Basing on these works, it concludes that redresources contain three structure styles, namely, red theory, red spirit, and red culture.Afterwards, the four educative functions of red resources (political control, ideologicalguidance, moral demonstration, and aesthetic edification) are analyzed under theframework the three structure styles. Then, it is discussed how to realize the educativefunctions of red resources in IPE. However, it is found that the realization of itsfunctions is intervened by cognitive deficiency, propagation interference, and identityembarrassment. It further outlined there are fundamental, basic, and specific ways tosolve the intervention. For the sake of applicability of the study, this paper discussedhow to realize its educative functions from three specific ways: school, social as well asfamily education, serving as the methodology guidance for the realization of redresources’ educative functions in IPE.Notwithstanding both the theoretical and applied researches of red resources’educative functions in IPE are in their infancy, with the development of applied IPE and the theoretical and application ability enhance of researchers, there must be satisfactoryachievement upon this study topic. |
