The right to adequate standard of living is one of the basic human rightsstipulated in the international conventions and the Constitutions of various countries, toadvocate each man and his family have the right of adequate standard of living, to coveradequate housing and living environment, to meet basic necessary supplies, publicfacilities and services, and everyone’s living standard has been improving. The countryhas the responsibility to take various measures to make right to adequate standard ofliving can be conservatory in effect. From the point of international human right laws toexplore historical origins and contemporary development status on the right, accordingto the provisions of the international conventions on the citizens’ right to adequatestandard of living, we can analyze the reasons for the lack of our citizens’ right toadequate housing and adequate residency propose appropriate improvements to ourcitizens, through learning from the advanced experience of Western countries,In this thesis, through description the concept of the right to adequate standard ofliving,and presentation of the foreign housing security issues, construction of facilitieson law-making for improving the housing system in our country and taking theappropriate initiatives.
