The Investigation Of Shipping Issues Triggered By International Economic Sanctions

The international economic sanction is an important foreign policy behavior by the international actors. It has been got a lengthy process of development. The East and the West have all the earlier history of the emergence of the international economic sanctions ideas and applications. Especially after the Cold War, the international economic sanctions are frequently used by the international community. Most scholars analyse the international economic sanctions from the perspective of macro strategy or international trade, but rarely refer to the influence on shipping fields.In this thesis, the international economic sanctions’historical traceability and status quo are analyzed through the theory united with the practice and from macro strategy to micro field. The international economic sanctions on Iran as a exemplar involve the causes and latest measures.In the micro fields, the shipping is also impacted.In addition to the Introduction and Conclusion, this thesis consists of four chapters.Chapter1introduces the international economic sanctions of the historical traceability and current status.Chapter2analyzes the international economic sanctions on Iran in accordance with the international law and the domestic law in accordance with their main content.Chapter3analyzes the international economic sanctions’impact on the shipping fields, including the reduction of vessel capacity and cargo quantity.Chapter4, combining with an actual case occurred in the shipping field, analyzed the two continually used clauses made by BIMCO for the international economic sanctions and the illegal character of" secondary sanctions".
