A Study Of The Construction Of The Socialist Core Values For The Party Members And Cadres

The socialist core value system is an important component in thesocial-theoretical system with Chinese characteristics, which determines the directionof socialism with Chinese characteristics. The socialist core values, constructed by theParty members and cadres, have a great theoretical and practical significance on thesethings, such as the construction of the Chinese characteristics socialist ideology, thedevelopment of philosophy of value in our country, the construction of socialistharmonious society, the realization of a comprehensive and well-off society, theachievement of great rejuvenation for the Chinese nation. The socialist core valueshave rich contents, such as prosperity, democracy, civilization, harmony; freedom,equality, justice, rule of law; patriotism, dedication, honesty, friendliness, all of whichconstitute the basic connotation of the socialist core values. The expression of thesocialist core values of the18th CPC National Congress, which reflects the Party’slatest understanding for the socialist core value system and embodies the highlytheoretical consciousness and cultural consciousness so as to greatly promote theconstruction of the socialist core value system.The socialist core values, constructed by the Party members and cadres, havegreat theoretical significance and contemporary value on these things, such as themajor initiative to improve the quality of the Party members and cadres, the inevitablerequirement of against corruption and building a clean government, the fundamentalguarantee of strengthen the Party’s ruling ability construction. The construction of thesocialist core values for the Party members and cadres needs sufficient theoreticalbasis and abundant practical basis. From the theoretical point of view, under theguidance of the socialism with Chinese characteristics, especially the Marxism withsinicization, modernization, popularization in China, the Party members and cadreshave abundant theoretical foundations to set up the socialist core values; on the otherhand, from the perspective of practical basis, the construction of the socialist corevalue system is on the material and masses foundations.With the profound changes in the situation of the world, nation, and Party, wemust combine the Marxism doctrine with Chinese reality in a closeness way and wemust grasp leadership and dominant right in ideology. The new historical situationsprovide the challenges and unprecedented opportunities in constructing of the socialist core values for the Party members and cadres. The author carried out surveyquestionnaires for three government departments in Liaoning Province Dalian cityand Panjin City. From the investigation results, currently the construction of thesocialist core values for the Party members and cadres has obtained certain results, butit still has some problems. On the one hand, the Party members and cadres’ ways fortheoretical study and the ways to understand the dynamic about theory through thenetwork are rich and varied, the Party members and cadres have correct life values, ahigh degree of identity of the construction of the socialist core values for the Partymembers and cadres. On the other hand, the main problems of the construction of thesocialist core values for the Party members and cadres are lack of the theory study andactivities of the Party and long-term mechanism are in short. Based on theinvestigation and analysis, the main reasons for these problems are the profit impactof market economy, anti-corruption is out of work, the impact and challenge ofWestern values. The construction of the socialist core values for the Party membersand cadres is a systematic project, which must be under the guide of the spirit of the18th CPC National Congress, and which needs various kinds of ways and methods,such as the integrated use of improving Party spirit accomplishment, to carry out theactivities of the Party and the establishment of long-term mechanism.
