Geographical computing services is developing on the basis of the developed networktechnology, is under the environment of network, a group of working, geographical spatial datainformation based software entities, it can according to user s need provide geographicinformation processing functions service.Because at home and abroad SaaS model get many large software company research anddevelopment and the support, also gradually the the idea SaaS is into the software users andengaged in software activists. SaaS overturns the traditional mode of software delivery mode andconsumption patterns, so SaaS mode applied in geographical computing services, broaden theGIServices service object, accelerate the popularization of GIService development process.From the beginning this paper studies the basic theory of SaaS mode and expounds the basicconcepts SaaS, maturity model and system structure. And studied OGC Web Service andgeographical computing services theory, according to the current network development trendbased on Internet and Web Service geographic information Service mode is more suitable forgeographic computing services release. At the same time, based on the geographical SaaS modelcalculation service platform detailed analysis and design prototype system has been implemented.The main work and achievements include the following aspects:Firstly, on the basis of the research of the SaaS mode and OGC Web Service andgeographical computing services theory, comparison between the traditional GIService andGIService based on the SaaS mode, from the data and data processingto improve that the modelbased on SaaS geographical computing services superiority.Secondly,the layered structure design, from the data layer, application service layer andWeb service layer, SaaS layer, customer layer five levels to build geographic computing servicesplatform, and the prototype system is divided into three subsystems which include platformmanagement, geography computing service release, geographic computing services access torealize.Finally, use hydrological analysis model service as an example to test the prototype system.Hydrological analysis is digital terrain typical application of hydrological analysis, research andimplemented the algorithm such as Fill and FlowDirection, FlowAccumulation etc. In the serviceplatform release hydrological analysis service to WSDL, and analysis the SaaS model andgeographical computing services platform.In a word, geographical computing services introduced in SaaS mode, not only realize SaaSmodel Multi-Tenant architecture design, to ensure that the user data isolation and safetyrequirements, and constructs the geographic computing services custody platform, and establishs a model library to manage the geographic computing services, free for all kinds of size servicepackage and the combination, platform also provide users with the perfect computing servicesaccess mechanism, any time at any place the user can directly access composite services by thebrowser.
