Marx's Idea Of ​​technological Alienation Explored

Nowadays, many problems of nature, society and human are having deep connection with technological alienation. And many scholars have already seen the influences to the contemporary world of technological alienation. Therefore, how to face up to technological alienation and let it do good to human has become a difficult question to them. Some scholars believe that we ought to look for the answers from Marx, who is considered as the pathologist of capitalism. They try to find some valuable thoughts concerning on technological alienation from Marx. In the late of19st century, the phenomena of technological alienation were not as serious as today, but Marx had realized it. In his books, though he did not explain it specialized, his works contained the technological alienation thoughts. So we have to read his books again and research his technological alienation thoughts deeply.This article is divided into three parts:In the first part of article, I intend to analyze the concept of technology, alienation and technological alienation. Besides I try to describe the phenomena of technological alienation in contemporary world and discuss many scholars’ideas.The second part of this article is the main content of Marx’s technological alienation thoughts. Firstly, I introduce the background and the development venation of Marx’s thought of technological alienation. Marx’s thought of technological alienation is formed in a special period, but in different times, its content and character is different obviously too. According to it, I classify the venation of Marx’s thought of technological alienation into preliminary, developmental, mature parts. Secondly, I introduce Marx analyze the root of technological alienation. In Marx’s opinion, we cannot contribute the root of technological alienation to technology instead of capitalist institution. That is to say, the paradox of capitalism is inevitable to lead to alienation. Finally, I introduce Marx how to overcome the technological alienation. On the one hand, we cannot give up technology because of technological alienation, instead, we ought to develop technology. Only with technological progress can we overcome it. On the other hand, giving up unreasonable capitalist institution and building communist institution is an only way to overcome technological alienation thoroughly.In the third part of article, I intend to introduce the contemporary value of Marx’s thought of technological alienation on theory and practice. In theory, Marx’s thought of technological alienation is not only benefit to deepen the understanding of technological value, but also generating a profound effect on the theory of technological critique. In practice, Marx’s thought of technological alienation is helpful for promoting the scientific development perspective, establishing harmonious society and building ecological civilization construction.
