| Science and technology are the first productive forces, playing an important role in promoting social progress and accumulating material wealth. As early as the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the classical writers of Marxism and the Frankfurt School already recognized the powerful driving force of science and technology for social developments, which is indisputable. The so-called "alienation of science and technology" refers to the fact that science and technology, which are originally human creations and exist to serve human beings, have now become a social force that enslaves people and stands in opposition to them.Based on the summary of related concepts and theories, the author analyzes in detail the discussions of Marx and Marcuse on "scientific and technological alienation"by using the method of comparative study, and considers how to eliminate"scientific and technological alienation" in the realistic context. The significance of the research, the background, the status of research at home and abroad, the basic ideas of the research and the research methods are explored to establish the foothold of the article.Specifically, the article is divided into four parts:the origin, the differences, the similarities and the revelations of the two views on "technological alienation".Firstly, through exploring the sources of their views and the background of their times,we clarify the inner connection between Marcuse’s view on "scientific and technological alienation" and Marx’s view on "scientific and technological alienation".Secondly, the differences between the two views on "technological alienation" are discussed, and their different paths of dissolving"technological alienation" are analyzed.Again,we focus on the similarities between Marx’s and Marcuse’s views on "technological alienation" and explore the consistency between the two on the deeper nature of "technological alienation".Finally,by exploring the similarities and differences between the two views on "scientific and technological alienation",we explore the reasons and essence of"scientific and technological alienation",and then, based on the actual situation in China,we propose to weaken"scientific and technological alienation" from three perspectives:cognitive, institutional and practical. In the light of China’s actual situation,we propose measures to weaken"technological alienation" from three perspectives:cognitive, institutional, and practical. Both Marx and Marcuse look at the problem of "technological alienation" with a critical and critical eye,and strive to change the status quo of "technological alienation",a critical spirit that never goes out of fashion, because without it there will be no better future for humanity. |
