Studies Of Jinan Urban Thermal Environment And Land Cover

With the increasing of urban environment issues, scientists have paid moreattention on Urban Heat Island (UHI) research. Therefore, how to monitor, evaluate,and estimate effect quantitatively has become one of the important research amongcurrent urban climate and environment research. In this paper, combined withremote sensing, Jinan city as study area, Land surface temperature, land cover andurbanization effect have been studied. The main research and conclusion are asfollows:(1) Research of land surface temperature with remote sensing dataIn1998and2010of Jinan land surface temperature distribution, urban heatisland phenomenon was obviously displayed. From the spatial pattern, comparedwith1998, the temperature distribution in2010shown a high expanding outwardtrend, especially in the east and west of the city. From the time scale, city hightemperature area was greatly increased.(2) Research of Jinan city land cover typeUsing the supervised classification, the land cover types of Jinan have been fiveclassifications. Combined with remote sensing data, the town regional land covertype maps of1998and2010were obtained. Compared with1998, the urbanvegetation coverage decreased obviously in2010, the western and eastern of cityappeared more dense strip or block of building land and industry.(3) Research of Jinan city thermal environment and urbanization developmentFrom the figures of Jinan urban land use structure in2010and urban landchange from1998to2008, Jinan urbanization development was deepen and faster.Urbanization influence on urban thermal environment is embodied in two aspects ofthe degree and pattern distribution of urban heat island. Combining urbanizationstrategy in the12th five-year plan, we predict that the extent of urban heat island isgreatly increased. The UHI will appear in the citys east, west and north. Finally,combined with the trend of future development of Jinan, put forward somesuggestions.
