This paper is based on the research status at home and abroad of nuclear power withstainless steel electrode,we joint with Shanghai the Atlantic Welding Material Co.Ltd anddesigned and developed the nuclear grade Ⅰ E308L electrode, on the basis of French nuclearpower RCCM standard and related provisions in the ASME standard tested E308Lcomposition and mechanical properties of the deposited metal. Using nuclear grade Ⅰ E308Lelectrode to weld00Cr18Ni9stainless steel, welding process was studied on chemicalcomposition, microstructure and mechanical properties of joint, and compares the domesticordinary E308L electrode and imported nuclear power use E308L electrode composition, microstructure and properties of the welded joint.Test results show that the deposited metal nuclear grade Ⅰ E308L deposited metalcomposition RCCM standard, and impurity element is controled strictly, S and P contentwere0.006%and0.02%respectively; Deposited metal ferrite content was10.5%; Thetensile strength Rm is649MPa, yield strength Rp0.2is339MPa, break elongation was49%, the impact energy is72.92J, all of them meet the requirements of the RCCMstandard.Using the nuclear grade Ⅰ E308L electrode to weld00Cr18Ni9stainless steel, thetensile strength Rm is643MPa, yield strength Rp0.2is337MPa, break elongation is48%,the impact energy of weld center, fusion line and fusion line+2mm were76.89J,76.47J,and98.28J; weld ferrite content was10.3%, all these meet the requirements of the RCCMstandard.Welding joint strength of nuclear grade Ⅰ E308L electrode is higher than domesticaverage E308L electrode and foreign nuclear grade Ⅰ E308L electrode, but the impactenergy decreases. Organization of welding heat affected zone in welding joint is columnaraustenitic, plus delta ferrite and uniform distribution, impact fracture microstructure is givenpriority to with toughening nest. Through technology optimization test recommended by theφ3.2domestic nuclear grade Ⅰ E308L electrode best welding current is115A...
