The cotton fiber maturity is an important indicator of the impact the performance ofthe cotton fiber, cotton fiber maturity test method is in the chamber cell wall contrast,polarized light detection method and Airflow. These methods are also not accurately, quicklyand intuitively measured indicators of the maturity of the cotton fibers. Departure from thefiber cross-section, although the use of image processing technology can be more intuitiveand effective measurement of cotton fiber maturity indicators. However, using imageprocessing techniques only at maturity measurement technology has not been involved in theexpression of the morphological characteristics of cotton fiber cross-section. Combined onthe basis of previous studies based on morphological characteristics of the cross-section ofthe cotton fiber morphology indicators, several cross-section method and image method tomeasure cotton fiber maturity improved fibers slice image information using a digitalmicroscope acquisition, the image into the computer.
