In order to enhance the security ability of domestic energy resources, it’s necessary tostrengthen geological exploration. Drill pipe, as the consumable of drilling work, with thestrength of geological drilling work, has broad application market. Based on this, a steel companyis carrying out research and development work of the new geological drilling pipe. But thecurrent productions of DZ60drill pipes are still not self-sufficient to tube billet. Outsourcing tubebillet increases the cost of production. Now the company intends to use steel factory open-trainmill rolling DZ60drill pipe blank. Field test not only has long research and development cycle,but also high cost.This subject, based on the independent project, by using finite element simulation technology,combined with the original steel factory actual production process, carry on an simulationanalysis to the210mm×280mm×3000mm45MnMoB continuous casting billet rolling Φ75geological drilling tube billet production that the steel factory of the company produces. On theba s is o f t he a d ju s t ing a nd o pt imiz ing e xt e ns io n p a s s s ys t e m t o me e t t heYB/T5222-2004shell. Combined with Φ75geological drilling tube billet rolling model, we willcarry out a simulation to its common fine pass system80circular tube billet rolling model andanalyse the simulation results. What’s more, after comparing with Φ75geological drilling tubebillet simulation results, we will put forward pass shared adjustment scheme, analyse deformationlaw and come into the conclusion that pass shared qualitative rules, which can provide theoreticalguidance for the production. The main conclusions are:(1)Conjugate pass in excessive tape stacks in favor of stable rolling, which will causeuneven deformation of rolled piece and produce rocker phenomenon. Conjugate pass side slopevalues should be the main consideration of workpiece deformation uniformity, not for the easy torepair with high value.(2)The essence of the pass system designed through the test rolling simulation can be usedto the production of Φ75,80circular tube billet. That’s we can realize Φ75,80circular tubebillet finishing pass shared. The field production Φ75circular tube billet results are consistentwith simulation results, verifying the accurate simulation model.(3)The ellipticity of elliptic billet with fine pass system increases with the increase of rollgap. K1hole spreads with each scheme roll gap increase, with the change role of reducing firstand then increasing. In the known low specification round steel of roll gap scheme, the gap valueof the common fine pass system large size of fine pass system roll should be relative to thesecond round steel diameter difference increasing. That can compensate for the shortage of bigellipticity of billet in their products hole spread.
