Explosion-proof security is a research field of great interest to countries around the world. The blast shock wave can not only make the protective structure produces large deformation, but also can penetrate the protective structure, causing damage to the people and instrument behind the protective structure. Developing light-weight multifunctional protective structure is the goal of protection field. The appearance of sandwich structure and new composite materials provides a new direction.This article mainly researched the property of anti-explosion on the honeycomb sandwich composite target plate filled with rubber. Three factors (maximum deformation of the panel, energy absorbing properties of the composite target plate, and the overpressure behind the back panel) were concentrated in this article. Based on the theory of deformation of sandwich structure which divides the dynamic response into three phases under blast loading, using the LS-DYNA simulation software, different placing ways (horizontal and vertical) of honeycomb sandwich of the composite target plate were considered.Results showed that, under the same blast loading, although in the maximum deformation of the back panel, the vertically placed honeycomb sandwich composite target plate filled with rubber was a little bigger that which placed horizontally, in the energy absorption of the whole composite target plate, the former was better than the latter; in the overpressure behind the back panel, the former was less than the latter. Take the three factors into account, the vertically placed honeycomb sandwich composite target plate filled with rubber has better property of anti-explosion. Based on the above results, taking the former, the influence to the property of anti-explosion of the change of length and the thickness of the honeycomb cell, the thickness of the front panel and the back panel were researched.The anti-explosion experiment of the vertically placed honeycomb sandwich composite target plate was carried out. Displacement of the center of the front panel and the back panel was got. Compared the test maximum displacement with the simulation, the deviation was4.1%and7.8%. Therefore, the simulation results were receivable.
