Stretch-bending leveller is mainly used for improving the quality of steelplates and descaling in strip production line. Most of the research ofstretch-bending leveling literature are simple description and qualitative analysison the basic principle, yet the bending and straightening mechanism has notbeen fully revealed. In the actual production of bending and straighteningprocess,there still exist difficult to quantify the problem, especially the bendingand straightening process is more complex, and this process is the key toaccurate quantitative description. In the actual production, only severalparameters in specific location can be collected due to the bending andstraightening equipment sensor types and quantity is limited. It’s difficult tocarry out comprehensive analysis about stretch-bending process. Therefore, ithas an important significance to establish a full size finite element model withactual equipment parameters and process parameters for quantitative descriptionof the process parameters as well as studying the stretch-bending process duringthe actual production.In this paper, take the tension leveller in Jigang Group.Co.,LTD as theresearch object, established a full-size tension leveling model combined with theanalytical method and the finite element modeling technology, and analyzed thestrip behavior during the bending and straightening process systematically. Themain research contents are as follows:(1) A full size finite element model of stretch-bending leveller in the coldpickling line was established according to the equipment parameters and processparameters by using the finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA.(2) The deformation energy of the simulation was compared with the motorpower in practical production, and the error is6.19%, which verifies thisstretching-bending FEM model has a high accuracy. It also provides a reliablereference data for the subsequent analysis in the actual production ofstretching-bending process. (3) According to the finite element model, analyzed the stretch-bendingmodel in different tension condition(T=σs×10%,T=σs×20%,T=σs×30%),different friction coefficient(fs=0.2,fs=0.4,fs=0.6)respectively, as well as thestress, strain, tension, speed, neutral layer offset, elongation, energyconsumption and other specific issues of the bending and straightening process,and drew the stress-strain curves, velocity curves as well as the energy curves.(4) Combined with the bending and straightening problem encountered inactual production process, analyzed the slip, vibration and tension fluctuation ofthe strip in bending and straightening process in-depth, then elaborated thebehavior of strip in the actual bending and straightening process, and alsoprovided reference data for the actual production process.
