Amino Acids, Phenanthroline Synthesis, Structure And Properties Of Copper Complexes

Copper is one of the essential trace elements that plays an important role in the metabolism of human cells. The copper complexes have attracted enormous research attentions and interests for their unique and novel structure and properties. Meanwhile, it was estimated that cooper complexes exhibited distinct anti-tumor bioactivities. For example, copper phenanthroline could cleave DNA, hinder viral DNA synthesis and accelerating cancer cell apoptosis.Amino acids are the basic structural units of proteins and enzymes in vivo, and the basis of all living organisms. It has been used in medicine and biomimetic chemistry for its high biological value. At the same time, metal amino acid complexes have become a hot spot for scientific research with showing a significant meaning in investigating the biological activity of the transition metals and in further exploring the impact of substance on human health.According to the current research status of phenanthrene-based anticancer drug and its anticancer mechanism, in this paper a series of crystal complexes were synthesized with phenanthroline and amino acid as the ligand and copper as the center. The paper includes the following two aspects:1.[CuⅡ(phen)(L-Leu)(H2O)]·NO3(A)、[CuⅡ(phen)(L-Ile)(H20)]·ClO4(B)、[CuⅡ(phen)(L-Pro)(H2O)]2·2NO3·H2O (C)、[CuⅡ(phen)(L-Ser)(H2O)]·ClO4(D) and CuⅡ(phen)(L-Thr)(H2O)]2·SO4·10H2O (E) were prepared with five L-amino acids, L-Leu, L-Ile, L-Pro,L-Ser and L-Thr respectively. Their crystal, anticancer activities in vitro and IR spectrum have been studied. We recorded and analysed UV spectrum of these compounds.2. We took cooper as as center metal cations and synthesized five amino copper compounds. The structures of [Cu(Ile)2(H2O)](F)、{Cu(Ala)2}n (G)、{Cu(Ser)2}n (H)、{[Cu(Arg)2]·(NO3)2}n(I)�'�{[NaCu6(Thr)8(NO3)4(H20)2]·NO3}n(J) have been studied by their crystal, anticancer activities and IR spectrum.
