Research Ethics Of Residential Buildings

With the development of China’s economy, urban construction, buildings and living environment has modernised increasingly. A large number of real estate at various grade have filled the market, which changed people’s way of living. But behind the replacement of residential buildings, people live within this reinforced concrete forest has become more confused and appears as though they cannot find a sense of belonging. This should bring about the concern of Ethics. Based on this fact, this essay attempt to use Ethics and Architecture Interdisciplinary research methods to carry out ethical research about China’s residential buildings.This essay first analysed the ethical connotation in residential buildings and answer the importance of housing theoretically. It does not only affect individual people, but substances homes and spiritual home construction also have a positive effect on society. Then it sort out ethical thoughts and its manifestation of China’s traditional residential buildings, highlights of study of I Ching and ritual system on the impact of China’s traditional residential buildings and its ethical reflection, to draw modern sense of ethical thoughts in traditional residential buildings. On this basis, a detailed analysis of the ethical issues of contemporary residential buildings is taken to explain the lack of ethics in residential building is confusing to people and societies and raised ethical measures. It further proposed that ethical concern is a factor that cannot be ignored in the development of residential buildings in China, and focus on the importance of the combination of national character, time, sustainability and humanistic care in order to achieve a true sense of the housing in the residential building.
