Traffic simulation as a traffic tool for Visual simulation and representation road conditions, not only analyzes the operating performance of the transport system from the macro-level statistically, but also analyzes characteristics of the transport system from the behavior of the vehicle, lane setup and transport facilities. It provides effective test methods for the analysis and evaluation of traffic problems, and the features of Intuitive, accurate and flexible provide strong technical support for traffic management decision-making of the planning department. However, simulation software TransModeler which this paper used was developed for the foreign traffic flow characteristics, but traffic characteristics of our country have some differences, both in terms of road environment, vehicle performance and driver behavior from abroad, so before making traffic simulation, it need to calibrated relevant parameters according to traffic survey results of our road network. The purpose is to get sated threshold value of check indicators between simulation outputs and actual observations, and so as to improve the accuracy of the simulation model, and make the simulation results more realistic and more accurate. On the basis of calibration parameters, this paper carried out road network capacity and reliability research based on the microscopic traffic simulation model. The content of this thesis is as follows:Firstly, the paper analyzed a large number of the research both domestic and overseas status on microscopic simulation model systematic parameter calibration and road network capacity reliability based on the results of previous studies in summary, and constructed the simulation platform for the traffic condition of Kunming, the procedure of parameter calibration and road network capacity reliability evaluation.Secondly, the paper conducted a microscopic traffic parameter calibration process, including simulation model construction, parameter selection, parameter calibration, evaluation and output analysis. The main technical route included determination of the calibration target, default parameters evaluation, parameter sensitivity analysis, then introduce genetic simulated annealing algorithm to search optimal parameters combination and complete calibration of the parameters. Thirdly, the paper put forward a new method-road network capacity reseach based on microscopic traffic simulation In order to analyze contradictions between the traffic demand and traffic supply. With traffic simulation software, focused including sections and intersections throughout the study area road network, according to characteristics which TransModeler can loaded OD matrix, gradually loaded OD amount to assign traffic, and in this way to get the capacity of the road network, then evaluate road network capacity reliability further more.Finally, took Xuefu Road-yieryi street and some other related roads as example, calibrated parameter for TransModeler according to the parameter calibration process this paper proposed, By comparison of the measured data and simulation output, it verified the validity and reliability of the established parameter calibration process, then studied the road network capacity and its reliability in the demonstration area.
