In today’s highly developed science and technology, people on products not only meet the requirements in the physical level, began to focus on non-material aspects of psychological and emotional needs. Emotional experience design is based on experience design and emotional design theory as the background touch user emotion as the ultimate goal of a brand new design. This is increasingly becoming the focus of attention at this stage and the design starting point. Smart home products as a highly interactive and experiential new products, closely linked with the user’s emotions. How to implement the user through the design and smart products in the emotional aspects of communication and exchange, and how through innovative design concepts to enhance the added value of smart products, in fact, the question worth exploring.In this paper, a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods to smart home products as the research object, the theory as a guide to emotional experience, from the emotional experience of the three level summary of smart home design elements, to establish a more systematic evaluation of design principles and design methods and research results in the creation of graduation for application to verify the feasibility of the theory.We hope this paper emotional experience in smart home products of research can enrich the application of the theory of emotional experience, but also for other companies and researchers to provide a reference design, better for our smart home product innovations contribute to a rise of industry.
