| With the rapid development of China’s economic construction, the face of transportation industry has been changing with each passing day. However, undeniably, there follow increasingly frequent traffic accidents, as well as overloading, speeding, official cars for private use and other destabilizing factors for social prosperity and development. Therefore, remote monitoring of vehicles is very important.Domestic traditional vehicle remote monitoring system has single function, with a lower degree of technological maturity, which cannot monitor and manage the important indicators or running condition of vehicles in real time; whereas the corresponding products abroad are high-priced, resulting in the difficulty of promoting these products in our country.Development status and actual demand of the vehicle remote monitoring system at home and abroad were combined. From this, a plan of vehicle remote monitoring based on Ethernet transmission, GPS positioning,3G network transmission, human-computer interaction and streaming media was proposed, and remote monitoring system of transportation vehicles was designed with video capture and transportation, vehicle local control, remote positioning and monitoring capacities. This system includes three parts:video acquisition and storage devices, vehicle remote monitoring terminal, and end user queries. Design of the third part is not included in this paper, while the hardware-software design and test analysis of the second part are the emphases. As a new vehicle monitoring product, the vehicle remote monitoring terminal is full-featured and high integration. It can acquire, display and transmit surveillance video, important operating parameters and location information of vehicles for drivers’local view and users’remote inquiry. Furthermore, this device provides interactive interface which can realize real-time, effective and convenient local control, besides with different information’s display. In addition, this remote monitoring terminal also has intelligent IC verification, voice communication, data copying and some other utility functions.Combined with engineering practice, the overall design of vehicle remote monitoring terminal was given firstly in this paper, and accordingly, hardware-software design was introduced in detail. After that, function test and analysis was proceeded, and the test results are reasonable and effective, which can meet the established requirements well. |
