As the centre of mass and moment of inertia of micro air vehicle or model have the features of difficulty to measure and measurement accuracy, the article designs a micro mass feature testing system.At first, according to the whole technical requirement of the testing system, the general plan of the testing system is researched and designed. The testing system is built by using upper and lower computer, then the centre of mass can be measured by two rotary weighing methods, polar moment of inertia and the equator’s moment of inertia can be gotten through measuring the rotation cycle by the torsional pendulum method.Then, according to the testing way of different parametric, two mechanical structure of the test bench will be designed. Three-dimensional structures of the two rotating mass test bench and the torsional pendulum method of moment of inertia test bench are proposed. The article gives detailed description to the center of mass test bench.Afterwards, with microcontroller as the core, lower computer system is designed to acquire, process and transmit voltage signal output by weighing sensors and photoelectric sensors on the testing bench. Writing upper computer testing software on LabVIEW development platform, employing the predefined communication protocol to communicate the data acquisition device of the lower computer by RS-485bus, control command can be sent and process, compute and save the data returned.At last, take advantage of the standard sample column of the known quality parameters to measure the testing system. Combine theory of errors with the actual experimental data and analyze source of errors and compensation ways to verify the performance of the test system further.
