Intelligent, networked area denial submunitions system is the future direction of the mine field. Submunitions distribution within the block area is monitored by the control center, firstly, the latitude and longitude information of the submunitions is acquired, and then, latitude and longitude information is transmitted back to the control command center. Area denial submunitions work environment is complex, Compass/GPS dual-mode receiver is used to obtain sufficient accuracy positioning data of the submunitions. In order to achieve the control center communicates with the sub-munitions, In the blocked area, the gateway sub-munitions is established, other submunitions positioning data is collected by gateway submunitions by way of a wireless LAN, Then each submunitions positioning data is transmitted to the control center by BD1short message.There are so many submunitions in the block area, and The packet length and frequency of communication is limited, in order to achieve efficient transmission of the positioning data, submunitions positioning data is analyzed in detail, redundant data is deleted, nibble compression algorithm used to compress the data. The main innovations and works are:1) Ordinary Compass/GPS receiver to acquire dual-function submunitions positioning data methods is proposed. On the one hand, dual-mode receiver can improve the positioning accuracy, on the other hand, the reliability of the positioning data is improved.2) Regional blockade is monitored by the control center via the BD1is proposed. Compared to other wireless communication, BD1short message communication unrestricted by communication distance within the service area.3) For the contradiction of the large position data and the BD1short-message limitation, based on the scope of application and the characteristic of the position data output statements, the data extraction method all latitude and longitude information is transmitted only gateway submunitions, other submunitions latitude and longitude position information is transmitted only4decimal digits is proposed. In addition nibble compression algorithm is used to compress the position data.The above techniques may also be widely applied to other similar fields.
