The underground pipeline as the lifeline of the city, plays a role in protecting theurban production and lives and property safety of residents, has the significant economicefficiency, the environmental benefit and social efficiency. But along with the developmentof social and economy, more and more accidents caused by the underground pipelinehappened; therefore to carry out emergency management of the underground pipeline isbecoming increasingly important. Beijing as our country’s capital, regardless in politics,economy or the technological development and other aspects has the unique superiority, sowe should take advantage of favorable conditions in Beijing to develop emergencymanagement of the underground pipeline, and make the forecast in future technologicaldevelopment to improve emergency management level of the underground pipeline.Technology roadmap as a new management tool obtained a wide range of applicationsand development abroad, this paper introduced technology roadmap method, to analyzeand research emergency management of the underground pipeline in Beijing.This paper through literature searches to analyze the status of technology roadmapand emergency management technology’s research, and made elaborations in definition,type and significance of technology roadmap; through the method of SWOT to analyze theemergency management of the underground pipeline in Beijing, and clarified the status andproblems in emergency management of the underground pipeline in Beijing; throughextensive literature review and expert opinions collected, designed the questionnaire of theunderground pipeline emergency management in Beijing, the questionnaire includedemergency technical demand, technical objectives, technological barriers and research anddevelopment demand four aspects; through statistical analysis of the questionnaire,obtained the important sorting of different time and different indicators over the next10years of Beijing, cleared objectives and priorities of technological progress. Finally, drewup the technology roadmap to predict the needed technology in emergency management ofthe underground pipeline over the next10years of Beijing, and showed the futuredevelopment process of the underground pipeline emergency management in Beijing inillustration form.
